Last night I indulged in one of my favorite hobbies; I drank some wine and I watched a DVD. If you are a long time reader, you already know that I usually get the plotline all wrong...and "Pulp Fiction" has a tricky plot...
This is what I recall: Pumpkin Pie and the Easter Bunny decided to rob a coffee shop. One doesn't know if they succeeded because the camera suddenly moved to another subject. Vincent (John Travolta) was walking with a religious fanatic who was obsessed with Ezekiel. They got to a house and killed two guys because they were not familiar with the European metric system.
Travolta felt quite disappointed and tried to find comfort in his boss’s wife; unfortunately, he didn’t get any action at all, as the gorgeous woman spent the whole evening reading this...
Vincent felt so frustrated that he went to see Bruce Willis fighting a boxing match. Bruce killed his opponent and went to see his girlfriend. As soon as he met her, he kept shouting: “Where’s my watch”? He had developed a strange affection for this object because all of his ancestors had treasured it in their anus for years. Bruce Willis started to look for his watch. While wandering around, he got into a room where people were having a gay orgy. He wasn’t allowed to join them, so he killed a couple of people in retaliaton; he also killed Vincent. In the following scene, Vincent was risen from the dead (I think Tarantino was trying to quote the Bible once again), so that he could accidentally kill a cheerful black guy. At this point Travolta was reasonably depressed; he met the religious fanatic friend and they went to the bar that Pumpkin and Easter Bunny were trying to rob. The “black preacher” stopped them and said that everybody should try to be a shepherd; they bought a farm in Scotland and lived happily everafter!
Can you pour another glass, please? I have to see Lost in Translation...
